The Art and Design department is making the most of their new screen printing facilities, which are located in the Design department. Students are now able to create stencil screen prints and to use photo sensitive emulsion to expose photographs onto their screens. The new facilities have been used by students across key stages 4 and 5 from Textiles, Graphics and Media Studies:

“It’s now easy for me to create professional looking prints on paper and on fabric”

Chloe Long, Textiles, year 11

“The photo exposure technique for screen printing creates perfect prints every time”

Rachel Mayes, Textiles AS, Graphics A2 and Design Captain

“It’s fab. It’s great to have a new way to transfer images to develop my coursework”

Mary Frenett, Graphics AS

We look forward to seeing their endeavors with this new technique in their coursework over the coming year.
