Last night the Waingels Art Department held it’s annual Key Stage 3 Private View. Due to last years huge success we wanted to showcase another! This was open to students, parents, staff, governors and the general public.

For the first time this year we introduced ‘The Waingels Art Prize’. We asked a member of our Senior Leadership Team to selected his top 3 pieces of artwork in our Waingels Gallery. He made an excellent choice in awarding a Year 9 student with third place; he created a lino print of a fish. A Year 8 student with second place who had hole punched the whole of her fruit collage. Lastly a Year 9 student with first place who created a lino print of a soldier at war.

This was a lovely event and we thank all art staff involved for helping make it happen!
